Men’s Basketball Picked to Finish 3rd

After two straight NEC regular season titles, the conference’s head coaches believe Robert Morris will take a small step back this season.

Coaches (who cannot select their own team) selected Mount St. Mary’s to win the title. The Mount had 9 first place votes, followed by 2nd place Long Island with one. The Colonials check in at third in a tie with Quinnipiac and RMU picked upĀ  two first place votes. Rounding out the tournament field – 5th place Central Connecticut, 6th place Sacred Heart, 7th place St. Francis NY, and 8th place Fairleigh Dickinson.

Bringing up the rear is 9th place Monmouth, 10th place Wagner, 11th place Bryant (eligible for awards but not the postseason as it transitions to D-I sports), and 12th place St. Francis PA.

Of course, RMU was picked third last year and won it all.
